GoS Proposal to Improve Trust and Delay of MPLS Flows for MCN Services

چکیده
In this article, Guarantee of Service (GoS) is defined as a proposal to improve the integration of Mission Critical Networking (MCN) services in the Internet, analyzing the congestion impact on those privileged flows with high requirements of trust and delay. Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) is a technology that offers flow differentiation and QoS in the Internet. Therefore, in order to improve network performance in case of congested domains, GoS is proposed as a technique that allows the local recovering of lost packets of MPLS privileged flows. To fulfill the GoS requirements for integration of MCN in MPLS, a minimum set of extensions to RSVP-TE has been proposed to provide GoS capable routes. Moreover, we have carried out an analytical study of GoS scalability and a performance improvement analysis by means of simulations. Using a Fuzzy Rule-based Algorithm to Improve Routing in MPLS Networks
Today, the use of wireless and intelligent networks are widely used in many fields such as information technology and networking. There are several types of these networks that MPLS networks are one of these types. However, in MPLS networks there are issues and problems in the design and implementation discussion, for example security, throughput, losses, power consumption and so on. Basically,...
متن کاملRSVP-TE Extensions to Provide Guarantee of Service to MPLS
Independent Quality of Service (QoS) models need to be set up in IP and ATM integration and they are difficult to coordinate. This gap is bridged when MultiProtocol Label Switching (MPLS) is used for this purpose. We propose Guarantee of Service (GoS) to improve performance of privileged flows in congested MPLS networks. We first discuss the GoS requirements for the use in conjunction with MPLS...
متن کاملThe Effect of Delay Mismatch in MPLS Networks Using 1+1 Protection
High-capacity optical-fiber backbone networks protect information flows belonging to their premium customers by routing two copies of the customer’s data over disjoint paths. This scheme, known as 1+1 protection, ensures that the customer will experience no service interruptions even if a fiber cut occurs somewhere in the network. A protection scheme based on this concept was recently proposed ...

Recently, the growing need of telecommunications such as VideoConference, Voice over IP etc. and for the diversity of transported flows, Internet network does not meet the requirements of future integrated services satisfying Quality-of-Services (QoS). This is become much more complex for heterogeneous networks especially for wireless networks. In this paper, we propose an MPLS based integrated...
متن کاملAn In-Band Data Communication Network For the MPLS Transport Profile
This document describes how the G-ACh may be used to provide the infrastructure that forms part of the Management Communication Network (MCN) and a Signaling Communication Network (SCN). Collectively, the MCN and SCN may be referred to as the Data Communication Network (DCN). This document explains how MCN and SCN messages are encapsulated, carried on the G-ACh, and demultiplexed for delivery t...
